For me, the goal of therapy is positive change. This could mean embarking on a journey of self-discovery, or addressing a source of discomfort, with the purpose of developing positive coping tools. Therapy is about gaining the insights and skills to enable you to handle challenges more effectively.

 The bedrock of the counseling experience is a relationship between therapist and client that is based on trust, mutual respect, honest discussion, and confidentiality. I am dedicated to doing my best to serve your needs. At the same time, your efforts also determine how successful the outcomes of therapy will be. Your ability to articulate your feelings and goals, and your commitment to actively participating in the therapeutic process will lead to a satisfying experience.

 I am a holistic practitioner who believes that quality of life depends on there being a sense of balance in our lives. This means paying attention not only to our mental and emotional processes, but also to our bodies and spiritual sides as well. For clients who are interested, I have additional training in stress reduction and relaxation techniques, as well as sound and energy healing. I also am currently undergoing training through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

 I enjoy working with all types of clients. As a therapist, one of my strengths is empowering people to successfully manage life transitions. A specialty of mine is gender identity issues. I focus on helping clients explore, resolve, and celebrate their transgenderism.

 I also assist women in managing and overcoming their postpartum depression. PPD is a challenging journey, and I offer my clinical support to mothers and their families as they navigate their way through it.
